Durham’s Best Cab Co., established in Oct. 1999, is locally owned and operated by 58 shareholders in the Durham, Chapel Hill and RTP area. The cornerstone of our business is founded on three primary principals: Punctuality, Safety and Courteous Service. This philosophy is applied to all of our transportation services and arrangements. Our 24 hour Dispatch Center is located at 1005 West Chapel Hill Street and is ideally situated in the heart of Durham providing central access to conventions centers, academic institutions and major freeways. The Dispatch Center is behind the Durham Marriott at the Civic Center, less than a mile away from Duke University, and 2 miles from the Durham Bulls Stadium. Additionally we are only 100 yards away from the Durham-Raleigh freeway and 15/501, providing us with the perfect location to rapidly deploy our vehicles to any location within minutes. RDU Airport is located 10 minutes from the Dispatch Center, allowing us to coordinate pickups to the airport around the clock.

Each car will hold 3 passengers including luggage, while each van can hold 7 passengers including luggage.

Every car and van is completely air-conditioned.

Each taxi is driven by an experienced professional who has been licensed and certified by the City of Durham.

Late model vehicles. All of our cars and vans are 5 years old or newer.

The majority of our drivers are bilingual and able to accommodate our customers in different languages, so that communication between clients and drivers is more productive.

All taxis are non-smoking and maintained with the highest standards of cleanliness.

Our goal is to provide our clients with the highest quality of service focusing on prompt pickups, safe transportation and courteous treatment of all our customers. We guarantee that our taxis will be at your location within 15 minutes of requesting a ride.

Our transportation services include the following:

Airport transfers to and from RDU Airport. We take great pride in providing punctual transportation to and from the airport. If you make an advanced reservation our drivers will be waiting for you as soon as you exit the Baggage Claim area.
Corporate services. At Durham’s Best Cab Co. we have years of experience in providing first class ground transportation to busy out-of-town corporate executives and other business clients to make their trips as easy and productive as possible. We offer coordinated group transportation for those customers with advanced reservations. We will cater all transfers to and from meetings, conventions, and the airport according to the schedule you send us.
College student transportation. Over the years we have gained considerable experience transporting college students around the Triangle area. Many of the students become repeat customers and get to know their drivers on a first name basis. All Duke and NCCU students are offered a 20% discount to Franklin Street. In addition, all student with a valid ID are given a 20% discount to and from RDU Airport.
